A community-powered film project — across cultures, across borders.
🧭Project Duration:
July to November 2025(+Screenings and circulation: Dec 2025–2026)
🖥️Wednesdays Online – The Core Creative Cycle
Every Wednesday, from 9:00 PM to 10:30 PM (WET)Language: English (with optional multilingual support)
These 90-minute sessions are the heartbeat of the project and follow a progressive, inclusive structure:
OPEN SESSIONS (JULY)
Presentation of participants
Exchange of stories, perspectives, and backgrounds
Brainstorming: themes, formats, characters
Introduction to intercultural storytelling
COLLECTIVE CONSTRUCTION (AUG–SEPT)
Development of script and visual concept
Role assignments (direction, camera, acting, editing, etc.)
Technical & narrative mentorship
Regular breakout rooms for collaboration across time zones
PRE-PRODUCTION & SHOOTING PREP (OCT)
Final script approval
Scheduling rehearsals & shoots
Production management basics
Planning logistics across locations
POST-SHOOT WRAP-UP (NOV)
Shared editing and feedback rounds
Festival strategy
Creative debrief and sharing session
💡 All online sessions are recorded and made available via a private hub, with key summaries.
🤝In-Person Encounters – Real-Life Collaboration
Every 2 to 3 weeks, we host in-person creative meetups in a rotating set of cities. These are inclusive moments for bonding, rehearsal, filming, and artistic exploration. Participants may join one or more sessions as availability allows.
Planned locations (subject to adjustment):Leiria, Nazaré, Alcobaça, Caldas da Rainha, Porto de Mós, Marinha Grande, Batalha, Odivelas, Lisbon, Santarém, Vila Real de Santo António.
Each meeting includes:
Creative labs and exercises
Cultural sharing moments (food, music, short films)
Preparation for group filming
Live podcast recordings with guests and participants
💰Funding and Support
Initial Production Grant: €1250(May increase depending on number of participants and partnerships)
Shared access to audiovisual equipment and production resources
Possibility of international submission to festivals, showcases & exhibitions
